Greenport
is located on the North Fork of Long Island and is
one of the areas oldest villages. The
town has a long
history and has been a favorite among boaters
for generations. Overlooking Shelter
Island, this small town has all the history
and charm of eastern Long Island, without being
as formal as the Hamptons.

There are three sections to this cruising
guide; Greenport
Village, Stirling
Harbor and Gull
Pond. Each section will give you
detailed information on anchorages, marinas,
nearby restaurants, marine services, things to
do, local regulations and much more.

Greenport offers many things for the visiting
boater to see and do. If you are visiting
for the day, Greenport
Village offers dock space through the town
or a local
marinas. If you plan on spending the
night, Stirling
Harbor may better fit your needs offering
better protection, less boat traffic and a quiet
atmosphere.
