The Northwest Harbor's Anchorage
is on of the most peaceful and tranquil
anchorages on the east end. While it may
not be an ideal for overnight stays, an
afternoon in this anchorage is nothing less than
spectacular.
The anchorage is located on the
north-east corner of the harbor and is generally
well protected. The most disturbances you
will get here is some boat wake from boats
traveling to Sag
Harbor. There is approximately 8 feet
of water throughout the entire anchorage.
There is also a good holding bottom.
The anchorage is protected from
Gardiner's Bay by the Cedar Point. Cedar
Point is a peninsula serves as a county park to
tourists and local visitors.
