There are no anchorages inside the Orient Point
cove (where the Orient by the Sea Restaurant
& Marina is located.).
However some boaters will anchor off Long
Beach Preserve for lunch and a quick swim.
We would not recommend spending the night in
this area. The boat traffic and prevailing
southwesterly winds of the summer would make it
a very "rocky" evening. We have
anchored off the preserve for lunch on numerous
occasions. If you anchor towards the
western tip of the Long Beach Preserve
peninsula, you are not permitted to walk on the
beach.
